A Digital Garden - frequent growth but a bit weedy in the back corner
I’m a retired software engineer with a background in safety critical work in C, C++ and Ada. I’ve worked a mix of industrial and defence stuff including power generation, high temperature sensing and corrosion monitoring on the industrial side and predominantly fast jets and naval platforms working on projects like fuel systems, cockpit displays, weapons systems and force level systems and sensor integration.
I’m currently playing around in the cyber security field, essentially for fun but also as a backup way to keep my brain functioning in the event of caffeine loss. I’m mainly interested in network security but I’m still getting my feet wet across the board in what feels like a million different topics - cybersec is a bit of a diverse skillset. At some point I may well end up moving towards a more career focused approach and zeroing in on a niche, but for now I’m just enjoying the exploration.
