A Digital Garden - frequent growth but a bit weedy in the back corner
Spent a bit of time in the garden today turning over my compost pile and this litlle fella showed up:
As usual, I didn’t have a clue what kind of butterly it was. Or if it even was a butterfly; cos some of those chaps turn out to be moths. Also as usual, my goto for finding out was iNaturalist. Turns out it’s a Gatekeeper. Not to be confused with a Meadow Brown which has less orange on the upper side of its wings and doesn’t have the little white dots on the underside of its wings.
